Mental Health Counseling
Build the life you want by getting in touch with your body and re-writing your story
I offer clinical mental health counseling services via Telehealth for adults and adolescents (14+) living in Colorado and North Carolina.
My approach
I like to focus on endorphins (what makes you feel good) and empathy (connecting, and honoring your whole story).
Rarely in life do we get to spend an hour with someone who gives us their complete, undivided attention. That’s one of the things that makes therapy so special. Our hour together is whatever you need it to be (whether that’s a break, a space to vent, a look in the mirror, or some tough love, but always with someone who cares unconditionally).
Think of this as “you time”— that doesn’t mean it’s always easy or that it won’t be work, but the goal is for you to feel better when you walk out than when you walked in.
Therapy with me will be fun, engaging, eye opening, perspective-changing, hopeful, supportive, and real. With me, you can be your whole-ass authentic self. We might cry but we’ll definitely laugh.
I know that getting started can be overwhelming or even scary, but I will meet you where you are. That’s part of my person-centered approach. I want to help you get to a place where you accept all the parts of your story and yourself—trust that I already do.
My clinical experience makes me a great fit as your therapist if you have been struggling with the following concerns:
Trauma/PTSD (including childhood and sexual trauma)
Struggles with body image/relationship with food
Major life transitions
Anxiety and perfectionism
Reproductive health
Pregnancy, pregnancy loss, and postpartum adjustment
Difficulties in relationships
Low sense of self worth
Self harm behaviors and desire to improve coping skills
Ongoing physical pain or issue for which doctors can’t seem to find a clear medical cause or treatment
Desire to explore gender identity or expression or sexuality
… and more!
Service Rates
Consultation
Before beginning our work together, I offer a brief consultation phone call to all potential new clients. This allows us to determine if we are a good fit for each other.
15 mins | Free
Intake Session
This is what our typical therapy session will be like. We will meet virtually and address whatever is on your mind. Most clients prefer to meet weekly or every other week for these sessions. We can discuss a schedule and timeline that work best for your specific needs.
50 mins | $145
Talk Therapy
This is our first session together. We will use this time to review your history, discuss what is bringing you in to therapy, get to know each other better, and determine our goals.
50 mins | $155
EMDR Session
I am trained in eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, which is a specialized, evidence-based treatment for trauma. If you want to learn more about EMDR, let me know and we can discuss in session if it is an appropriate intervention for your needs.
50 mins | $155
I am not able to accept or bill insurance at this time. Working outside of the parameters of insurance allows us to have more freedom in our sessions—we don’t have to meet criteria of a DSM-V diagnosis, we can meet as often as is appropriate for treatment, and most importantly I will get to use my own clinical judgment to give you the best possible care without the stress of insurance limitations.
If you would like to utilize insurance benefits, I can provide a super bill for our sessions that you can submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement.
I believe therapy should be accessible to everyone, so please inquire about reduced price availability if these rates are not feasible for you at this time.
